MIMOS Berhad is Malaysia's national applied research and development centre under the purview of the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

This fruitful meet up was initiated by Dr Rahayu Tasnim and Dr Zukarnain Zakaria from Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr Zukarnain is the Head of MJIIT and interested to develop the Blockchain Modules for the students of MJIIT.

Blockchain Academy Asia will play a vital role on Blockchain Technology and R&D collaboration with MJIIT while with MIMOS still in early discussion to find the best collaboration on R&D for High Technology such as IOT, Big Data and Blockchain Technology.

Blockchain Academy Asia and MJIIT will bring more Blockchain Companies and Ecosystem from Japan to Malaysia and MIMOS will be the validator to these high tech companies from technical perspective.

As the engagement between academic research faculty and industry becomes a common pathway for research and commercialization, it’s critical for faculty to consider the ingredients that can lead to productive and long-term relationships.

Experience shows that one of the most important strategies for faculty to forge successful partnerships is developing an entrepreneurial mindset.

Doing so can transform an academic research faculty into constant problem/solution seekers, active network builders, and effective value creators.
